Voor de rijder onder ons die in het weekend soms ook de achterstoelen nodig heeft. Een nog behoorlijk praktische Coupé van BMW uit 2006 in Montego Blue met een grijs stoffen interieur.

Ondanks dat de E46 serie nooit de eerdere 3-series heeft doen vergeten, waren het voor de E90 nogal grote schoenen om te vullen. Vergeleken met de E46 is rauwe randje er af, maar wel op een solide manier. Comfortabel maar sportief, zowel lange snelweg ritten als bochtige binnendoor-weggetjes zijn uiterst aangenaam. Laten we eerlijk zijn, dit is voor velen de perfecte vakantie auto.

Esthetisch prikkelend, zo zou ik zelf de E92 graag willen omschrijven. Maar dan moet ik ook toegeven dat ik dat alleen bij een bijzondere lak kleur vind. Begrijp me niet verkeerd, de E90 coupé is een erg mooie auto, ook in het zwart of grijs. (En zeker 100 maal mooier dan de sedan uit dezelfde serie). Maar Montego Blau maakt hem toch net wat specialer. De lak is nog in zeer goede staat en recent door ons gepolijst. Er zit een klein chipje op de motorkap, daar moet je goed voor kijken. Ook de bumpers hebben weinig te verduren gehad, zelfs zonder parkeersensoren.

Ik heb het gevoel dat we steeds in herhaling vallen, maar ook deze BMW heeft een chique en sportief uiterlijk. Hiermee is het mogelijk om in stijl bij elke afspraak aan te komen en daarna met een grijns op je gezicht terug te rijden richting de kinderen. Na het eten gooi je de zwemkleren achterin, de kinderen op de achterbank en gaan met die banaan.

Maar zelfs voor de vakanties is het te doen. Flinke kofferbakruimte, en met de achterbanken plat zowaar nog mogelijk om wat groter spul te vervoeren.

Oorspronkelijk komt deze auto van onze Ooster buren. Zij is met 51.300 km naar Nederland gekomen en heeft hier de laatste 10.000 kilometer genoten bij de vorige eigenaar. Helaas was het na een knie-operatie niet meer mogelijk om dagelijks om een handgeschakelde auto te rijden, dus is zij overgestapt naar een fijne E60 525i, ook geen verkeerde keus.

Aan het interieur is nauwelijks te zien dat de E92 al 18 jaar oud is. Zeer nette stoelen met geen slijtage plekken, fijne stoelverwarming, een goed koud blazende airco en elektrische stoelverstelling, helaas zonder memory functie. Cruise control is ingebouwd en met de Xenon verlichting is ook 's avonds de weg goed verlicht. Achterin zit ISOFIX voor de geïnteresseerde met kleinere koters.

Het onderhoudsboekje is uiteraard aanwezig en hieruit is de kilometerstand dan ook volledig te herleiden. Keurig haar beurtjes gehad en goed onderhouden. Fatsoenlijke Continental banden zijn gemonteerd op zeer nette Style 157 velgen. Technisch gezien is er ook niets op aan te merken, geen rare geluiden of trillingen. Ze rijdt dan ook geweldig en wij zouden zo vertrekken naar Frankrijk!

Bij aflevering zal de auto voorzien worden van een oliebeurt, zodat het interval van 10.000 km wordt vastgehouden. Mochten er nog andere wensen zijn dan kunnen we het hier natuurlijk altijd over hebben. Verder zien we u graag verschijnen en staat de koffie voor u klaar.

For the driver among us who sometimes needs the rear seats at the weekend. A still quite practical BMW Coupé from 2006 in Montego Blue with a grey fabric interior.

Despite the fact that the E46 series never made us forget the previous 3-series, the E90 had quite a lot of shoes to fill. Compared to the E46, the raw edge is gone, but in a solid way. For the driver among us who still likes some comfort, only when it can be accelerated will it lie like a block on the road. Because let's be honest, this is the perfect holiday car for many.

Aesthetically stimulating, that's how I would like to describe the E92. But then I have to admit that I only find that with a special paint colour. Don't get me wrong, the E90 coupé is an incredibly beautiful car, also in black or grey. (And certainly 100 times more beautiful than the sedan from the same series). But Montego Blau makes it just that little bit more special. The paint is still in very good condition and was recently polished by us. There is a small chip on the hood, you have to look carefully for that. The bumpers have also had little to endure, even without parking sensors.

I have the feeling that we are repeating ourselves, but this BMW also has a chic and sporty appearance. This makes it possible to arrive at every appointment in style and then drive back to the children with a grin on your face. After dinner, you throw your swimming costumes in the back, the children on the back seat and off you go.

But it is even possible for the holidays. Due to the spacious trunk and when there are no children in your life yet, the entire back seat can be folded down.

This car originally comes from our eastern neighbors, but it came to the Netherlands with 51,300 km and enjoyed the last 10,000 kilometers here with the previous owner. Unfortunately, after a knee operation, it was no longer possible to drive a manual car every day, so she switched to a nice E60 525i, also not a bad choice.

The interior hardly shows that the E92 is already 18 years old. Very neat seats with no wear spots, nice seat heating, a good cold blowing air conditioning and electric seat adjustment, unfortunately without memory function. Cruise control is built in and with the Xenon lighting the road is also well lit in the evening. In the back is ISOFIX for those interested with smaller kids.

The maintenance booklet is of course present and the mileage can be fully deduced from this. Neatly had her services and well maintained. Decent Continental tires are mounted on very neat Style 157 rims. Technically there is also nothing to complain about, no strange noises or vibrations. She drives great and we would leave for France in a heartbeat!
