De Baby Benz werd voor vele het instapmodel naar Mercedes, zo op de markt gebracht en op die manier succesvol geworden. Het is duidelijk dat het oerdegelijke auto's zijn, want als er een oude Mercedes is die je nog veel ziet rijden dan is het deze wel.

En dan ook zeker dit exemplaar, tot afgelopen winter dagelijks door de vorige eigenaar gebruikt. In de zomer van 2017 heeft meneer deze wagen zelf gekocht in Duitsland, destijds van de eerste eigenaar. Met een frisse 100.000 op de klok was deze klaar voor een nieuw leven. Na 7 jaar gebruikt en 60.000 kilometer te hebben gereden, kwam er een elektrische auto op de oprit. Een flinke stap, maar het moest gebeuren.

Ik weet dat we het al vaker hebben gezegd, maar wat blijft Rauch Silber een iconische Mercedes kleur. Juist in combinatie met de meegespoten Bruna Sacco kappen geeft deze auto zijn iconische jaren 80 look. De lak is in zeer goede staat, weinig tot geen krasjes of deukjes. Een klein puntje lakschade op het rechter achterscherm is helaas aanwezig. Hier zijn altijd mogelijkheden voor.

Van onder is de wagen om de 2 jaar in de Waxoyl gezet. De vorige eigenaar heeft een hekel aan roest en aangezien de bodem zo perfect was, moest dit wel goed geconserveerd blijven. Zelfs de DVD van het proces is hiervan aanwezig, uiteraard ook alle facturatie.

Want aan onderhoudshistorie is bij deze Benz geen gebrek. Nagenoeg alle facturen zijn aanwezig, net als het serviceboekje en de 'Betriebsanleitung'. De wagen is in Nederland onderhouden door Mercedes Klassieker Service, een gerenommeerde Mercedes specialist.

De motor loopt dan ook als een naaimachientje en wat is dat extra beetje capaciteit in de cilinders toch onwijs fijn. Hierdoor komt de Baby Benz gretig van zijn plek en zul je menig persoon bij het stoplicht kunnen verrassen. Niet dat het een strepentrekker is, maar je begrijpt wat ik bedoel. De 4-traps Automaat schakelt soepel door de versnellingen.

Het interieur is om van te smullen. Het Creme Beige stof is nagenoeg nieuw te noemen en wanneer het zonnedakje open staat en de zon er op valt, heeft het een heerlijk zomers tintje. En ja het schuifkanteldak is ook om van te genieten. Deze gaat dermate soepel open en dicht, dat deze wel gesmeerd moet zijn. Dat is nou echt een indicatie van liefde voor de wagen.

Al met al een geweldige 190E zoals je ze niet vaak meer ziet. Volledige historie is bij ons in te zien maar wij denken dat de staat van de auto voor zich spreekt. Mocht dit uw interesse hebben gewekt dan bent u van harte welkom voor een proefrit, de koffie staat klaar.

The Baby Benz became the entry-level model to Mercedes for many, was marketed and became successful in that way. It is clear that these are rock-solid cars, because if there is an old Mercedes that you still see driving a lot, it is this one.

And especially this one, used daily by the previous owner until last winter. In the summer of 2017, the gentleman bought this car himself in Germany, from the first owner at the time. With a fresh 100,000 on the clock, it was ready for a new life. After 7 years of use and 60,000 kilometers of driving, an electric car arrived in the driveway. A big step, but it had to be done.

I know we've said it before, but Rauch Silber remains an iconic Mercedes color. Especially in combination with the painted Bruna Sacco hoods, this car gives its iconic 80s look. The paint is in very good condition, few to no scratches or dents. Unfortunately, there is a small spot of paint damage on the right rear screen. There are always options for this.

The bottom of the car has been waxed every 2 years. The previous owner hates rust and since the bottom was so perfect, it had to be well preserved. Even the DVD of the process is available, of course also all invoicing.

Because there is no shortage of maintenance history on this Benz. Almost all invoices are present, as are the service booklet and the 'Betriebsanleitung'. The car was maintained in the Netherlands by Mercedes Klassieker Service, a renowned Mercedes specialist.

The engine runs like a sewing machine and that extra bit of capacity in the cylinders is really nice. This makes the Baby Benz eagerly move from its spot and you will surprise many people at the traffic lights. Not that it's a stripper, but you know what I mean. The 4-speed automatic shifts smoothly through the gears.

The interior is to die for. The Creme Beige fabric is almost new and when the sunroof is open and the sun hits it, it has a wonderful summery feel. And yes, the sliding and tilting roof is also something to enjoy. This opens and closes so smoothly that it must be lubricated. That is really an indication of love for the car.

All in all, a great 190E that you don't often see anymore. The complete history can be viewed with us, but we think the condition of the car speaks for itself.
